The International Shuttlecock Federation(ISF) pleased to inform that the 6th World Shuttlecock Championships will be staged in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province of China from July 9 to 14, 2010. All International Shuttlecock Federation members and other interested countries and regions are welcome to send teams to participate. The Executive Committee Meeting and General Assembly of the International Shuttlecock Federation will take place at the same place on July 10, 2010 during the world championships. Each member is requested to send 2 delegates to attend the said meetings and watch the Championships. The Chinese Shuttlecock Association shall receive maximum 16 people (team manager, players, coaches, judge and meeting delegates) from each member association while the travel expenses to and fro China shall be borne by the participants themselves.

1. Events
Men’s Group. Women’s Group, Men’s Double, Women’s Double, Man’s Single, Woman’s Single and Mixed Double.

2. Participation Method
Each ISF member (including the host country) is entitled to enter one team and non-ISF member countries or regions are equally welcome to participate. Each team shall be composed of 1 team manager, 6 male players, 6 female players, 2 coaches and 1 judge.

3. Competition Method
(1) The rules approved by the ISF in 2005 shall be adopted.
(2) The competition of team events will be divided into two stages, the single round robin system will be adopted in the first stage and in the second stage the elimination system will be adopted. The elimination system will be adopted in the doubles and singles.
(3) The International Standard shuttlecock ball shall be used for the 6th World
Championships.

4. Prizes
Top 6 places of all categories shall be awarded certificates and trophies while the top 3 places shall be awarded medals as well.
