Újszász - if you play shuttlecock, this village/city is a must place to go in order to have an experience on how you love shuttlecock.
It started on July 18 and ended on July 21 with Hungarian victories. Contrary to the custom, the opening took place in a new place, in the yard of the Vörösmarty Mihály Primary School, where János Fehér, the main organizer of the competition, greeted the teams and competitors. He greeted those who were participants in the Hungarian and German teams at the first Hungarian Open in 1996. The first speaker of the ceremony was Mayor Péter Molnár, who greeted the participants on behalf of the city of Újszász and wished good competition and a pleasant stay in Újszász for everyone. Afterwards, Peter von Rüden, President of the European Shuttltecock Association presented a gift to the main organizer of the competition, János Fehér, and opened the competition. In the words of “I open the game,” two hundred colored balloons rose high.
