2026 Germany (Hagen) - 12th Shuttlecock World Championships

From 25 to 29 August 2026, the German city of Hagen hosted the 12th World Championships of ShuttlecockCup

During 5 days, more than 150 athletes from 13 nations took part in this major international event at Sporthalle Mittelstadt (Bergischer Ring 82, 58095 Hagen).

The World Cup brings together the passions of players from all around the globe. Regardless of skill level, every athlete gives their full effort and pushes themselves to the limit.

Vietnam once again cemented its supremacy in the sport of shuttlecock . The nation triumphed in all men's disciplines (singles, doubles, and team events). Additionally, Vietnam secured world titles in mixed doubles and the women's team event, while also claiming silver in women's singles and bronze in women's doubles. China secured second place in the national rankings (1 gold in women's doubles, 4 silver, 2 bronze), finishing just ahead of Hong Kong (1 gold in women's singles, 3 silver, 3 bronze). Hungary was the top-performing European nation, finishing fourth—narrowly ahead of the German team.

A special congratulation goes to Lo Wai Ming, who earned the gold medal in women’s singles, a remarkable achievement. In recent months, the Hong Kong team has been training in Vietnam, and their progress is clearly visible. The Vietnamese community has been incredibly welcoming, generously sharing their expertise and helping other nations grow in this beautiful sport.
